Curriculum Vitae

EDUCATION: BA in English with music minor and secondary teaching certificate: 1980, GVSC. BM in vocal performance: 1991, GVSU.

EXPERIENCE: Accompanying of vocalists, instrumentalists and choirs beginning in high school (1971).

Music Director for the Harbor Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for 4 years (1994-1998), including playing keyboard for all services, directing a small choir, and performing vocal solos as needed.

Choral music director for Christ Community Church in Kentwood, fall of 2006 to present, including accompanying and leading (vocally) hymns, providing offertory music, accompanying singers and instrumentalists, and occasionally providing all music for the service when the organist is not there.

Choir director for the teens (Ars Nova Choir, grades 6th through 12th grade) at Fountain Street Church, 2001 to present.

Music Director for many theatre productions, including Circle Theatre, Robeson Players, Aquinas College, and local high schools. Accompanist for Musical Theatre class at Aquinas College, fall of 2007.

Accompanist for ballet classes at Grand Rapids Ballet for many years: 1976-1987, and 2001 to present.

Interim Adult Choir director for Fountain Street Church: September 2010 through December 2010.

OTHER MUSICAL INTERESTS: Composer of choral pieces, vocal solos, piano music, and a 35-minute ballet for orchestra.

OTHER INTERESTS: Bicycling, martial arts, remodeling, reading, watching movies, swimming, camping.style
